The Day I Realized a Website Was Not a Strategy

The Day I Realized a Website Was Not a Strategy

About two years ago, a smart young woman who ran a skincare brand reached out to me. She proudly told me,
"I just launched my website, sir. I even got a logo and a Facebook page. But sales? Nothing is moving. I don't get it."

I smiled—not because I had the answers yet, but because I knew the problem wasn’t the website.
She had all the digital tools but no digital direction.

So I asked her,
"How are people supposed to find you? What's your funnel? What action do you want a visitor to take when they land on your site?"

Silence.

That moment reminded me:
➡️ Digital presence is not the same as digital strategy.

A digital strategy is not just about being online.
It’s about:

Knowing where your audience is,

Creating a journey for them, and

Guiding them toward a result (signup, buy, DM, etc.)

✨ Takeaway:
Before you rush into building websites or posting every day, ask yourself:
🧭 What’s my actual strategy?
Because without one, you’re just another name on the internet.

📌 Need help building a digital roadmap that works, not just shines?
Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from Googling—it comes from talking to people who’ve done the hard work with others.
